This is one of the most enchanting places in Rome, thanks to the famous, spectacular Spanish Steps, formed by a set of curves and terraces that link the square to the church above it. The Barcaccia Fountain, designed by Bernini, stands in the middle of the square. |

By plane To reach the Hotel Luxor from Rome Fiumicino Airport you can book our pick up service.
Alternatively you can take the train that will bring you to Termini Station. From the station you can walk to the hotel, take a taxi or use public transport.
By car
From the north
- Continue as far as the G.R.A. ring road from the motorway.
- Take the exit " Salaria-centro".
- Follow the directions for Termini Station and then for Piazza della Repubblica.
- From Piazza della Repubblica, turn into Via Nazionale.
- You will find the Hotel Luxor at the second traffic light on the left (on the corner of Via Depretis).
From the south
- Continue as far as the G.R.A. ring road from the motorway.
- Take the exit " Appia-centro".
- Continue as far as San Giovanni in Laterano.
- Turn right into Via Merulana.
- Carry straight on until you reach the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.
- Drive round the basilica until you reach the traffic lights then carry straight on into Via Torino.
- Turn left at the traffic light into Via Nazionale.
- At the next traffic lights, turn left again into Via Depretis where you will find the Hotel Luxor.
Italian guests should contact us if arriving by car in order to apply for the permit for driving through the ZTL (restricted traffic) area, in order to unload their luggage.
By train From Termini Station you have various possibilities for reaching the hotel Luxor:
- you can take a taxi (5 minutes journey);
- you can take the red line subway and get off at Piazza Repubblica. From there, walk down Via Nazionale until you reach the crossroads with Via Depretis: you will find the hotel on the corner (7 minutes journey);
- you can reach it on foot: once you leave the station, go to Piazza dei Cinquecento and turn into Via del Viminale, continuing on until you reach the crossroads with Via Depretis. Turn right and you will find the hotel on the corner with Via Nazionale (10 minutes' journey). |
